DC sets up Swagat & Sahayta Kendra, for general public visiting DC office for redressal of issues as per directions of CM Punjab
Following the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and to check any sort of inconvenience or harassment of the general public, DC Sakshi Sawhney today inaugurated “Swagat & Sahayta Kendra” in the Deputy Commissioner's office Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, June 18, 2024: Following the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and to check any sort of inconvenience or harassment of the general public, DC Sakshi Sawhney today inaugurated “Swagat & Sahayta Kendra” in the Deputy Commissioner's office Ludhiana.
After inaugurating this Swagat & Sahayta Kendra, the Deputy Commissioner said that a dedicated team will facilitate the general public for getting their routine administrative works done so they don't have to wait for long hours. She said that this Swagat & Sahayta Kendra has been set up right outside her office and she will monitor all activities through a CCTV as well.
DC Sakshi Sawhney said that the District Administration is duty bound to provide transparent, responsive and effective administration to the general public. She said that all officers have been directed to ensure that people get hasslefree delivery of all citizen centric services in the government offices.
She said that to ensure the execution of routine works of the general public in a time bound and prompt manner, she will be personally monitoring all the files so that people do not face any sort of inconvenience while getting their routine administrative works done.
DC Sakshi Sawhney said that once a person submits their application for a particular grievance/work, it will be forwarded to the concerned department immediately. She said that general public will also be able to check real time status of their grievances so that people do not have to return to check what happened to their application.
She also stated that as per the directions of CM Punjab, location for the CM Window has also been identified in the DC Office where general public would be able to get their grievances at the State headquarter level also facilitated through the special window.
She assured that the District Administration Ludhiana is committed to provide best services to the general public in a fair and transparent manner and all officers will ensure that people do not face any sort of inconvenience or harassment for getting their works done.
