DCM YES hosted an electrifying Indoor Sports Tournament organised by Sahodya Sports Complex, Ludhiana (West), drawing participation from over 15 schools and more than 350 enthusiastic children. The tournament featured intense competitions in Chess, Carromboard and Table Tennis, showcasing the vibrant sporting spirit of the region.
Ludhiana, May 13, 2024: DCM YES hosted an electrifying Indoor Sports Tournament organised by Sahodya Sports Complex, Ludhiana (West), drawing participation from over 15 schools and more than 350 enthusiastic children. The tournament featured intense competitions in Chess, Carromboard and Table Tennis, showcasing the vibrant sporting spirit of the region.
The inauguration ceremony, held in the prestigious Dass Auditorium, was graced by the esteemed presence of Manjeet Singh Dhillon, Director Admin DCM Group of Schools; Aarti Singh Sardana, Dean DCM YES; Harjeet Singh Aulakh, GM DCM YES; and Newton Mazur, DGM Admin and Sports.
Among the attendees was Poonam Sharma, Principal of Everest Public School, who actively engaged as an observer from Sahodya, adding to the camaraderie and excitement of the tournament.
In a display of exceptional talent and sportsmanship, DCM YES Team emerged triumphant in multiple categories at the inter-school indoor sports competition. The tournament witnessed fierce competition from schools across the region. In the realm of intellect and strategy, the DCM YES Team showcased their prowess in chess, clinching the top spot in the Boys' Under 14 categories. Their strategic brilliance was evident as they outmanoeuvred opponents to secure victory, setting a high standard for the competition.
Continuing their winning streak, the DCM YES Team dominated the Table Tennis arena, claiming first place in both Boys' and Girls' categories across different age groups. While the DCM YES Team soared to success in Chess and Table Tennis, other schools showcased their proficiency in Carrom. Peace Public School and New GMT School demonstrated their mastery of the board, securing first positions in the Boys' and Girls' Under 17 age categories, respectively. In the Under 19 age category, Tagore Public School emerged as the champions of Carrom, showcasing their talent and determination on the board.
Despite fierce competition, the DCM YES Team demonstrated resilience and determination, securing second place in the Girls' Under 17 Carrom category.
