Jalandhar, December 10, 2012: Amritsar Garrison would be organising an ‘Indian Army Mela’ on December 14 at Khasa Military Station to felicitate the Veer Nari’s and the physically challenged Veterans.
The Army Mela will also provide an avenue to create awareness about the various Welfare Schemes launched by the Armed Forces for its Veterans and Dependents of the Martyrs.
The mega event will have a special attraction for the students to include display of state of the art weaponry guns, tanks and aircraft, a cultural show of martial arts and music and multimedia show on ‘Army way of life’. Sky diving, para-motor sailing and Army Dog Show would be added attractions.
A Medical Camp will also be available for the sick and infirm.
