Ludhiana: Chairman IIA Punjab Chapter and Director Ludhiana Smart City Ltd Ar Sanjay Goel has written to Punjab Local Bodies Minister, Ludhiana Mayor and others concerned stating that all architects in Punjab have started working on computers in between 2000-2010 for designing and working drawings of buildings.
Adding, he said it was an excellent and long awaited step of Local Government Punjab in 2018 that in future manual approvals will be stopped for building maps to save time and minimize corruption.
"But, yesterday decision to fully accept manual plans is big setback in today’s digital era", he said.
He added, "We all architects on behalf of Council of Architecture and Indian Institute of Architects Punjab Chapter request you to kindly stop manual approvals immediately, so that smart work can be done to save time, energy and money of Punjabis."
