Dharamshala, February 3, 2024: Former Chief Minister and former Union Minister Shanta Kumar has said that the decision of the Government of India to give Bharat Ratna to Lal Krishna Advani is very commendable and important.
In a statement issued here today Kumar said On January 22, 2024, when the temple of Lord Shri Ram was inaugurated in Ayodhya after 500 years, Advani was honored with this honour. Many efforts were made to build Ram temple in Ayodhya. Bullets were fired on Ram devotees and innumerable martyrs were killed. The resolution to make a last successful effort to build a Ram temple was passed by the BJP in Palampur under the chairmanship of Lal Krishna. Immediately after that, Advani’s historic journey from Somnath to Ayodhya had awakened the whole of India on this question.
Shanta Kumar said that whatever happened after that, the contribution of BJP and Advani was important. If Advani had been healthy and was in Ayodhya at the time of Pran Partishtha, it would have been a joyful moment for the whole of India. But today the decision of the Government of India would have brought great joy to crores of people of India.
