Declamation Competition on `The role of Youth in Viksit Bharat' held in Doaba College
Student Welfare Committee in collaboration with NCC and NSS unit of the college organized an inter-Department Declamation Competition " Best Orator @ DCJ'' on the topic 'Role of Youth in Viksit Bharat'.The event aimed to foster public speaking skills, critical thinking, and eloquence among students across various departments.
Jalandhar, March 5, 2024: Student Welfare Committee in collaboration with NCC and NSS unit of the college organized an inter-Department Declamation Competition " Best Orator @ DCJ'' on the topic 'Role of Youth in Viksit Bharat'.The event aimed to foster public speaking skills, critical thinking, and eloquence among students across various departments.
Dr. Pardeep Bhandari, Principal, Doaba College Jalandhar graced the occasion as the chief guest and was accorded a hearty welcome by the. Prof Sonia Kalra, Dr. Arshdeep Singh and Prof. Rahul Bhardwaj-Coordinators.
The winner students from intra- Department Declamation Competition exhibited their oratory prowess, addressing an array of thought-provoking topics. The competition showcased not only the diversity of subjects but also the varied perspectives and innovative ideas within the student body.
Principal, Dr. Pardeep Bhandariin his speech emphasized the significance of effective communication skills and encouraged students to express their thoughts articulately. He expressed delight in witnessing the diverse talents that each department brought to the competition.
A panel of judges viz Prof. Ira Sharma and Dr. Vinay Girotra evaluated the participants based on content, delivery, and overall impact. The judging criterion was designed to appreciate not only the eloquence but also the depth of understanding and passion demonstrated by the final declamation competition.
Komal (BBA Sem II). Bagged First prize for best orator in the English category, Bhumika (BAJMC SemIV).bagged 1st , Ishita (BSc. Medical Sem IV) bagged 2nd and Rajni (B.Com SemVI),bagged 3rd position in Hindi/ Punjabi category.
