Declamation contest held on ‘World Breast Feeding Week’

Ludhiana, August 2, 2018: World Breast Feeding Week (1st to 7th August) was observed today by organizing a declamation contest. The contest was organized by Departments of Pediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynaecology in association with Ludhiana Academy of Pediatrics and National Neonatology Forum (NNF), Punjab. All Post Graduate (PG) residents of both Pediatrics and Obsterics & Gynaecology departments participated very enthusiastically in the event and highlighted the need for exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of age. The theme this year is ‘Breastfeeding-Foundation for Life’. Also present on the occasion were Dr Ashima Taneja (Professor & Head of Obstetrics & Gynecology), Dr Sunil Juneja, Dr Ashwani Sharma, Dr Kamal Arora and Dr Gurdeep Singh Dhooria. The judges distributed prizes to three winning participants including Dr Gursavreen & Dr Gagandeep who won 1st prize followed by Dr Manpreet who got 2nd prize and third prize was bagged by Dr Amita. Consolation special prize was given to Dr Keshav.
