Deepender Hooda campaigned in Rohtak city with local MLA BB Batra
Congress candidate Deepender Hooda said BJP has derailed the entire Haryana, including Rohtak, from the track of development and made it a victim of corruption. “Today, there is an outcry in Rohtak city due to the problem of dirty water and sewerage. Rs 350 crore of Amrit Yojana was to be used for the maintenance of sewerage system, drinking water supply, drainage and parks of Rohtak, which fell victim to the scam,” he said, and added that there is so much resentment among the public regarding BJP that those raising the slogan of ‘400 paar’ are facing difficulties of crossing 150.
Rohtak, May 19, 2024: Congress candidate Deepender Hooda said BJP has derailed the entire Haryana, including Rohtak, from the track of development and made it a victim of corruption.
Deepender participated in the various programs organized by traders and businessmen at Madan Lal Dhingra Community Center in Rohtak city and appealed to vote in favour of Congress. He was accompanied by Rohtak MLA Bharat Bhushan Batra.
He said Bahadurgarh Metro would have reached Rohtak by now, if there was a Congress government. “The project has not moved forward an inch beyond where it was 10 years ago. Neither the BJP government in the last 10 years, nor the sitting MP in the last 5 years, has done any development work in the area,” he said.
Deepender said that the current BJP MP should tell the public what was the compulsion that no one could do development work, or provide even basic facilities to the people in 5 years.
Deepender today visited and campaigned in Vaish Dharamshala, Kewalganj, Chhotu Ram Dharamshala, Bhagwati Chowk Housing Board Colony, Rayan Wali Dharamshala, Kath Mandi, Devi Chowk, Janata Colony, Chowmeen Chowk Gandhi Camp, Bhiwani Road, Storm Water Disposal Pump Chowk, Model Town and Mata Darwaza. He sought support of people, and appealed to vote in favour of Congress.
While presenting the report card of his work before the public, Deepender said that the Rohtak Lok Sabha constituency is the only Lok Sabha constituency in the country where the five most prestigious higher educational institutions of the country are present. He said he worked hard to progress the area and made all-round development of villages including rail, road, metro, health, education, electricity, industry during his tenure.
“Big projects like the International Airport, Rail Coach Factory were approved here to change the picture of the area, but BJP sent them one by one to other states. Rohtak has 10 national level institutes like IIM, IIT, FDDI, Badhsa AIIMS-2, NCI, AIIMS-II campus, CRIYN, IHM, MSME Technology Centre, and GCNEP,” he said.
“I established more than 250 new educational institutions in the area, which include 2 new engineering colleges, 8 new government polytechnics, 18 new government ITIs, 18 new government colleges, 2 new Kendriya Vidyalayas, 1 Sainik School, more than 200 new government schools, hundreds of schools Get upgraded,” he added.
“But, when BJP came to power after 2014, many big projects in the area got stalled and many moved out of here to other states. Pro-poor welfare schemes run by the Congress were stopped. Big projects kept going from here one by one and along with it, jobs also kept going from the area. The BJP state government kept watching as a mute spectator,” he said.
