Dehra MLA Kamlesh Thakur pledges comprehensive rural development
Newly elected Congress Party MLA from Dehra ,Kamlesh Thakur has vowed to ensure the overall development of rural areas within the Dehra Assembly. Speaking on Friday at a community meeting in Gram Panchayat Marera, Thakur announced that departmental officers have been instructed to prepare a comprehensive action plan for this purpose.
Dharamshala, July 27, 2024: Newly elected Congress Party MLA from Dehra ,Kamlesh Thakur has vowed to ensure the overall development of rural areas within the Dehra Assembly. Speaking on Friday at a community meeting in Gram Panchayat Marera, Thakur announced that departmental officers have been instructed to prepare a comprehensive action plan for this purpose.
Thakur emphasized the government's commitment to connecting all villages with road facilities in a phased manner, improving transportation for local residents. "Our focus is on making sure that the benefits of various schemes and programs reach the rural population, providing them with better facilities,"she stated.
Highlighting the current government's initiatives, Thakur assured that there would be no shortage of funds for development projects in the Dehra Assembly area. She pointed out that substantial efforts are being made to enhance road, health, and education facilities in villages. Furthermore, the government is prioritizing access to clean drinking water and strengthening women self-help groups to improve the economic condition of women in the region.
Expressing gratitude for recent cabinet decisions, Thakur appreciated the move to designate Dehra as a police district and the creation of 39 new posts to ensure smooth operations. She also thanked the cabinet for upgrading the Dadasiba Police Outpost to SDPO Dehra, establishing the Moin Police Outpost under Police Station Dehra, and opening a Public Works Department circle in Dehra.
The meeting was attended by several dignitaries, including Tehsildar Dehra Karmchand Kalia, Block President Pushpendra Thakur, Executive Engineer of the Water Power Department Anish Thakur, and Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Merda Rimpi Devi.
