Delegates from MOPNG & DAFW visit CBG Plant set up by EverEnviro in Dhuri

Chandigarh, February 22, 2024: EverEnviro Resource Management Pvt Ltd, India's leading Compressed Biogas (CBG) developer, welcomed Ramesh Krishna, Under Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MOPNG), C V Chimote, Assistant Commissioner, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (DAFW) alongwith delegates representing Oil & Marketing companies and leading financial institutions to EverEnviro’s Sangrur RNG Pvt Ltd.
During the visit, EverEnviro team provided a comprehensive overview of the CBG facility's operations and showcased the advanced technology deployed in converting paddy straw waste into compressed biogas to the representatives from IOCL, GAIL, Petronet LNG, Union Bank, Punjab & Sindh Bank, Indian bank, Canara bank, Bank of India.
This visit was organized as part of GAIL's comprehensive workshop on compressed bio gas held in Chandigarh this week. The visit witnessed participation from key stakeholders, including government officials, technical experts, industry leaders amongst others. The delegation engaged in discussions with various stakeholders who shared their experiences of the positive impact generated by the biofuel produced at the facility.
EverEnviro’s Sangrur RNG Pvt Ltd is slated to daily produce a staggering approx. 14.8 tonnes per day (TPD) of Compressed Biogas/Bio CNG, capable of utilizing over 40,000 metric tonnes of paddy residue annually. The production of CBG in the facility is expected to reduce stubble burning in 40,000 acres of fields, thus averting emissions of fine particulate matter, and substituting fossil fuel-based emissions for end users.
The plant serves as a source of income for approximately 50-60 Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) who supply paddy straw/bales as biomass for the plants in Sangrur, Punjab. Moreover, it has the capacity to produce over 12,000 tonnes of Fermented Organic Manure (FOM) annually, which will help enrich soil health and promoted regenerative agriculture. EverEnviro is executing additional eight compressed biogas projects across Punjab.

Under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG), GAIL organized an insightful workshop on the Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation (SATAT) scheme, specifically designed for the promotion of the CBG ecosystem. The workshop aimed to apprise stakeholders about the intricacies of the SATAT scheme and facilitate discussions on the broader promotion of CBG.
