A delegation from Nottingham Trent University (NTU), United Kingdom, comprising Stephen Williams, Director of NTU Global, and Vidhi Sahae, Senior Global Partnerships Manager, visited Panjab University for strategic meetings with Vice-Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig and heads of various departments.

Chandigarh August 16, 2023: A delegation from Nottingham Trent University (NTU), United Kingdom, comprising Stephen Williams, Director of NTU Global, and Vidhi Sahae, Senior Global Partnerships Manager, visited Panjab University for strategic meetings with Vice-Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig and heads of various departments.

The delegation's visit aimed to strengthen existing partnerships and explore new avenues of collaboration between the two esteemed institutions. The discussions centered around enhancing academic exchange, joint research initiatives, and fostering international cooperation.

Stephen Williams, an influential figure in global education, emphasized the importance of cross-border collaborations in advancing knowledge and addressing global challenges. He praised Panjab University's reputation for academic excellence and expressed keen interest in deepening ties between the two universities.

VidhiSahae, an expert in international partnerships, lauded the rich cultural diversity and vibrant academic community at Panjab University. She shared insights into NTU's innovative academic programs and research endeavors, highlighting potential areas for mutual cooperation.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. RenuVig welcomed the NTU delegation, expressing her commitment to strengthening international ties and promoting academic exchange. The discussions spanned various disciplines, including business, law, technology, Chemical Engg., Chemistry and Fashion Technology. Heads of departments engaged in productive dialogues with the NTU representatives, brainstorming ideas for joint projects/programs, faculty exchanges, and student mobility programs. Prof. RenuVig also stated that old tie ups and MoU with NTU will be revived.

The vice chancellor apprised the delegation about funded projects with Kay and Kennedy, British council and Northern Region Science & Technology Cluster being sanctioned to PU. She also emphasized on having joint PhD programs, twinning and dual degree programs with NTU along with students and faculty exchange.

The NTU delegation also had the chance to tour Panjab University's campus and interact with faculty members and researchers. This interaction facilitated a deeper understanding of the university's strengths and research capabilities.
