A meeting of PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry Ludhiana Zone meets S.S Dhillon, Director, MSME-DI, Punjab & Chandigarh at Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, December 9, 2014: A meeting of PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry Ludhiana Zone held with S.S Dhillon, Director, MSME-DI, Punjab & Chandigarh regarding the visit of Union minister of State for MSMEs Giriraj Singh regarding future of bicycle industry.
The main focus was to upgrade the bicycle industry as hi-end cycle was not manufactured in India. To manufacture hi-end cycle technology from Taiwan & China should be transferred. The Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion has been given representation for upgradation of R & D Centre to international standard to facilitate industry with EN certified lab. It was also discussed common facility centre to be made to develop aluminium alloy frame forks, dérailleur, grip shifts etc.
Amongst present were Gurmeet Singh Kular Chairman PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry Ludhiana Zone, Subash Lakra of SK Bikes, Harmohinder Singh Pahwa of Nova Bicycle Industry, Rajiv Jain Secretary FICO and B.S Dhiman President Avon Cycles Ltd.
