Delhi cop suffers bullet injury during encounter with sharpshooters
A sub-inspector posted with the Special Cell of the Delhi Police suffered a bullet injury during an encounter with three sharpshooters of the interstate criminal gang of Tillu Tajpuria-Parvesh Mann-Neeraj Bawania. The three criminals, identified as Pawan Shehrawat alias Pauna (30), Ashu alias Paglet (21) and Gaurav Tyagi (27), were apprehended near Wazirabad flyover on Outer Ring Road towards Burari, Delhi, after the brief shootout.

The three criminals, identified as Pawan Shehrawat alias Pauna (30), Ashu alias Paglet (21) and Gaurav Tyagi (27), were apprehended near Wazirabad flyover on Outer Ring Road towards Burari, Delhi, after the brief shootout.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Rajeev Ranjan Singh said a police team on Wednesday traced the location of Pawan Shehrawat with his two associates Ashu and Gaurav on Outer Ring Road, near Wazirabad flyover.
"In the process of apprehension, despite being warned to surrender, accused Pawan and Ashu whipped out pistols, fired at the police party to make their way to flee, in which SI Vikram of the police team suffered injury in his left leg," the DCP said.
He said that in the cross-firing Pawan Shehrawat and Ashu also sustained bullet injuries in their legs. Accordingly, the police registered an FIR under sections 186, 353, 307 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and section 25 and 27 of the Arms Act at the Special Cell police station. Senior officers said that the apprehended accused were planning a 'big attack' on their rival gang members and their families.
