Dharamsala, December 29, 2012: Rajya Sabha member and the former CM Himachal Shanta Kumar said that they can only pay the homage to the girl, who died due to inhumane crime by the rapists in Delhi by immediately calling a special parliament sitting to frame new law for such crimes.

In his message in Dharamsala on Saturday, Shanta said, “We must put our views on this act in the parliament and a punishment of death be fixed for it. We can also follow the law of few countries were such criminals are made impotent. This special session if called should last till a new law is made.”

He reacted after the sad news of the death of the girl in a Singapore hospital , who was brutally raped by a gang of six men in a moving bus in Delhi, the Capital of the country.

Shanta considered it as the saddest news at the fag end of this year.

He said crime in the country is increasing day by day, adding National Capital has became the crime and rape city.

Shanta said it is not the first incident, such shameful events are occurring daily in the country.

He believed that in fact, the administration and especially the police administration has also been failed to control these incidents and even the Investigation is not honest. Corruption has paralyzed everything. Rape has been multiplied. But the conviction has remained down to 25 percent.

Shanta Kumar said that the country's entire youth on the streets of the country revolved bewildered. But  the government has not yet fully roused.

He said for the best results the government has to make immediate decisions, to call special session of parliament. Besides changing the law and the setting up of the new courts.
