DELHI GANG RAPE: Vir Bhadra Singh seeks stringent laws

Dharamsala, December 29, 2012: “Stringent laws should be adopted to prevent crime against women and their honour should be protected at every cost. Criminals committing such barbaric crimes should be brought to the book,” said Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh (HP) Virbhadra Singh

Chief Minister, condoled the death of a 23 year old paramedical student, who was gang-raped and brutally assaulted in a moving bus in New Delhi on December 16, and the incident had triggered nationwide protest. The girl who was initially admitted to Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, was shifted to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore on the December 26, where she breathed her last on Saturday morning.

Singh prayed to the Almighty to give peace to the departed soul and strength to the family members to bear the irreparable loss.
