Delhi sees nearly two-fold rise in fresh Covid cases, 7 deaths
Delhi on Tuesday reported considerable, nearly two-fold rise in fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours, at 2,495 against 1,372 reported on previous day, while there were as many as seven deaths, as per the health bulletin.

Meanwhile, the Covid positivity rate has marginally declined to 15.41 per cent, and the number of active cases stands at 8,506, out of which 5,504 patients are being treated in home isolation.
With 1,466 patients recovering in the last 24 hours, the total number of recoveries has gone to 19,38,545, while Delhi's total caseload is 19,73,394 and the death toll is 26,343.
The number of Covid containment zones stands at 253.
A total of 16,187 new tests -- 10,451 RT-PCR and 5,736 Rapid Antigen - were conducted in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 3,96,42,039 while 19,170 vaccines were administered - 1,063 first doses, 2,950 second doses, and 15,157 precaution doses.
The total number of cumulative beneficiaries vaccinated so far stands at 3,59,84,974, according to the health bulletin.
