Ferozepur, December 18, 2012: The BSNL Joint Action Committee members staged protest and shouted slogans infront of the office of General Manager, Telecom to register their demands.
While addressing the protestors, Ajay Jinda, district president, Shriniwas, secretary, Surinder Singh Deepak Chalana, Tarsem Singh, Makhan Singh Bajwa and Ashin Karan and others demanded that Indian Telecom Services (ITS) officers on deputation with BSNL should either be sent back or merged in the department.
The leaders further said, despite putting a demand time and again, the national level protests are being held and in case their demand is not accepted immediately, the BSNL Joint Action Committee would be compelled to intensify the stir. Besides pending demands, the merge of 78.2 per cent DA should also be accepted, they added.
