District Election Officer Sakshi Sawhney on Wednesday inspected the Integrated Election Control centre to minutely monitor the polling exercise in all 2921 polling stations on June 1 when voting will take place for Lok Sabha elections.
Ludhiana, May 29, 2024: District Election Officer Sakshi Sawhney on Wednesday inspected the Integrated Election Control centre to minutely monitor the polling exercise in all 2921 polling stations on June 1 when voting will take place for Lok Sabha elections.
There will be live streaming from each polling station through webcasting, complaints on C-VIGIL, online and telephonic complaints, GPS monitoring of vehicles carrying EVMs/polling parties, Helpline 1950, special nakas by Police and CPF, continuous surveillance by FST and SST, at the election control centre. Quick response teams will be dispatched immediately in case of complaint or any other issue.
The rooms for the observers and District Election Officer have also been established there where they will monitor and respond immediately to ensure free, fair and transparent polls in the district.
DEO said that the polling stations would have live streaming through which the administration would keep an eye on the number of voters standing in the queues, polling process in real-time and monitoring the entire polling process through control rooms. She said that there would be high-resolution webcams connected to the high-speed internet to ensure steady transmission of visuals from all polling stations.
Sawhney reiterated the firm commitment of the district administration to ensure free, fair and transparent polls and added that administration will leave no stone unturned for the successful holding of the festival of democracy.
