Department of Home Science of Apeejay College takes endeavour to inculcate healthy dietary habits in youngsters

Jalandhar, February 10, 2018: 30 students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar’s Home Science Department paid a visit to Nutrition and Dietetics department of PIMS where they learnt the benefits of healthy diet and its impact on our lifestyles. Dr.Swati from Department of Nutrition and Dietetics demonstrated various types of diet to the students. She illustrated the students that diet for patients is always based on the record of their need like low fat, low calorie, low salt etc. but a healthy person needs diet equally different which should give them energy according their exertion of a day.
Principal Dr.Sucharita shared her views that in such visits students learn great deal about healthy lifestyles. She further said that by acquainting with nutritionist they could also make the food of their choice based on their physical requirement.
