Chandigarh, August 28, 2024: The Department of Community Education and Disability Studies organized special lecture on the topic “Health, Education and Environment” on Wednesday.
Chairperson of the Department, Dr.Md. Saifur Rahman, delivered welcome note with introducing comprehensive meaning of health which includes physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects and its interdependence with the environment Resource person, Prof Saroj Yadav, Former Dean and Project Coordinator, Department of Education and Social Sciences, NCERT, New Delhi, delivered an enlightening lecture on the role of health and wellness in daily life as well as the larger social context of the same. She highlighted the role of environment influencing the health and wellness of humans in a holistic manner: right from the larger public health context at the global level to the everyday interactions of the students themselves covering the problems of inequality, obesity, and population management. Faculty members; Professor Navleen Kaur, Professor Dazy Zarabi, Professor Anuradha Sharma and all the students attended the webinar.
