The Department of Community Education and Disability Studies, Panjab University, organised a seminar on the theme ‘Ethical Considerations in Teaching Pedagogy’.

Chandigarh, March 18, 2025: The Department of Community Education and Disability Studies, Panjab University, organised a seminar on the theme ‘Ethical Considerations in Teaching Pedagogy’.
The speaker Dr Mahabir Singh Associate Professor, Kirorimal College of Education Bhiwani, (Haryana) started the lecture with importance of ethics in the teaching. He said that the goals of teachings can only be achieved with imparting moral values and ethics among the pupil teacher. He explained the key components of ethics in teachings; training of teachers, supportive environment, equal opportunity, full participation, and administration involvement to get desirable ethical transformation. He also introduced the methods and principles of value based education of pupil teacher. To ensure the effective teacher education for children with special needs, it’s mandatory to develop morality and ethical aptitude among the participants.
Earlier, Dr. Md Saifur Rahman, Chairperson of the Department delivered the welcome note and focused on the role of ethics in pedagogy and its innovation in the field of Special Education.
Faculty members; Nitin Raj, Satparkash and Taukir Alam, were present in the seminar. At the end, Nitin Raj expressed the vote of thanks.
