Department of Political Science of PCM S.D College for Women holds Outreach Voter Awareness Camp
SVEEP Group of PCM S.D College for Women, Jalandhar held Outreach Voter Awareness Camp in collaboration with Department of Political Science on the occasion of National Voters’ Day 2024. The initiative was part of the institution’s ongoing commitment to fostering civic engagement and empowering the community.
Jalandhar, January 25, 2024: SVEEP Group of PCM S.D College for Women, Jalandhar held Outreach Voter Awareness Camp in collaboration with Department of Political Science on the occasion of National Voters’ Day 2024. The initiative was part of the institution’s ongoing commitment to fostering civic engagement and empowering the community.
Surinder Saini, General Secretary, Jalandhar Welfare Society and District member of SVEEP was the chief guest of the day.
Tajinder Kumar, Mr Balbir Singh, Mr Amar Nath, Shashi Pal and Aman Kumar were the Booth Level Officers from Jalandhar Central who visited the institution. A pledge was taken where participants committed to exercising their right to vote and encouraging others to do the same. After which, a rally was held in the college vicinity wherein all students showed avid participation. It served as a catalyst for increased civic engagement and voter empowerment among the general public.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Prof.(Dr.) Pooja Prashar applauded the SVEEP Incharge, Dr Lovely Sharma for reinforcing the college’s commitment to fostering informed and active citizenship. Jaswinder Kaur and Prabhdeep Kaur along with two students as campus ambassadors Yukta and Harmandeep Kaur were also present.
