Department of Plastic Surgery at DMCH Ludhiana organised ‘Dressers Course’ for ward assistants

Ludhiana, May 17, 2018: Department of Plastic Surgery at DMCH today organised ‘Dressers Course’ for ward assistants in its seminar room.

Principal Dr Sandeep Puri formally inaugurated the course and told the participating ward assistants to learn every aspect of good dressing for better patient care.

Professor & Head of Plastic Surgery-Dr Sanjeev Uppal said that ‘Dressers’ are the best first aid providers. After every surgery, there is a need of dressing and in a modern society, medical dressing has become an essential requirement. In his message, Dr Uppal said that maintaining hygiene is of prime importance for ‘Dressers’ as it prevents infections and influence basic wound healing. The motto and theme of this course is ‘upgrading skills’ informed Dr Uppal

In total, 20 faculty members will be imparting training to the participants in 24 teaching sessions.
