CP apprised about the problems being faced by traders
Ludhiana, September 3, 2021: A deputation of traders under the leadership of Punjab Pradesh Beopar Mandal (PPBM) state general secretary Sunil Mehra, district president Arwinder Singh Makkar, Sunder Nagar Hosiery Association Mandal Unit General Secretary Pawan Malhotra met Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, Naunihan Singh today.
The deputationists apprised the Police Commissioner about the incidents of robbery, traffic problems etc in the city.
On the occasion, Sunil Mehra, Pawan Batra, Bittu Gumbar and others briefed the Police Commissioner about the problems of the traders. They stated that due to the festive season, the traffic system in the markets is very bad. On the other hand, the coming days are of hosiery season. The incidents of robbery have increased a lot. As a result, the traders coming from outside are scared due to thefts and looting from passersby. They apprehended that if it is not checked in time, then the incidents of robbery will increase in the coming days.
Mehra said the Commissioner of Police has assured the deputation that soon the traffic system would be made better. The Police Commissioner has constituted a five-member team under the leadership of ADCP Deepak Pareek. This team will control the traffic system with the support of common people and traders and provide relief to people from traffic problems. At the same time, a special campaign is being run against the anti-social elements.
The Police Commissioner made an appeal to traders to support the police administration to carry out their activities.
On this occasion, Pawan Lehar, Pawan Malhotra, Banwari Harjai, Bittu Gumbar, Kewal Gupta, Lalit Garg, Pawan Bhardwaj, Advocate Manish Ahuja, Rajesh Gupta, Pawan Batra, Balwant Singh, Gurcharan Singh, Baljit Singh Minkal and others were present.
