Dharamshala, January 3, 2025: Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania met His Holiness the Dalai Lama at Gaggal Airport on Friday to extend New Year greetings on behalf of the government.
During the meeting, His Holiness appreciated the government's initiatives to establish Dharamshala as a premier tourist destination. He noted that the expansion of Gaggal Airport would not only enhance the region’s identity as a world-class tourist hub but also provide better transportation facilities for the people and monks visiting him from across the globe.
Deputy Chief Whip Pathania highlighted the government's commitment to developing Kangra district into a tourism capital. He outlined several ongoing initiatives, including the development of a world-class zoo, the promotion of water sports at Pong Dam, and efforts to improve road infrastructure to attract more visitors.
