"Despedida" farewell party organised by Department of Mathematics of DAV College

Saloni crowned as Miss Farewell whereas Dinesh was selected as Mr Farewell. R.J.Sandy became the Centre of attraction of the event

Jalandhar, April 27, 2019: Farewell party "Despedida" was organized by the Department of Mathematics of DAV College, Jalandhar. Students of M.Sc. (Part-1) bid farewell to their Seniors of M.Sc (Part-2). This function was organized under the supervision of Dr. S. K. Tuli (President, Bansilal Mathematical Society). Principal Dr SK Arora ,Chief Guest Seema Soni, Vice Principal Prof. V. K. Sareen and HOD of department Prof. Ajay Kumar Aggarwal inaugurated the ceremony by lightening the lamp.

HOD of Mathematics Department Prof Ajay Agrawal welcomed Chief Guest while providing information about Mathematics Department. While addressing the students, Principal Dr. Arora said that DAV College has always been proud of the entire Mathematics Department and its meritorious students. Prof. Ajay Agarwal, congratulated the students of the final year and encouraged them for doing best in the upcoming exams.

The ceremony was started by Ganesh Vandana . After this, Twinkle and Payal performed western dance. In the function, students of MSc (Part-II) walked on the ramp.

Along with this, Akhil sang the song playing guitar and won the hearts of everyone present at the ceremony. Neeti and group performed the very beautiful style of Himachali dance. At the same time, Kanika of MSc (Part-II) presented a very emotional poem.

Bhangra was also performed by students. At the same time students of M.Sc. (Part-2) thanked their teachers for organizing this memorable farewell ceremony. During this event games were also played like baloon and lemon on spoon by students for entertainment. During this event, Cheif Guest Seema Soni gave best wishes to the students of M. SC (Part 2) for their coming life.

The crown of Miss Farewell went to Sonali and title of Miss Charming was won by Neha. Kavita was honored with the title of Miss Elegance. In addition to this, Dinesh was given the title of Mr. Farewell and Mr. Handsome's title was won by Abhishek .
Apart this, Merit position holders in the University were also honoured .

President of Bansi Lal Mathematics Society Dr. S. K. Tuli greeted all the students of M.Sc. (Part-2) and gave them best wishes for the future. Prof. V. K. Sareen, Prof. Vipin, Prof. Sonika, Dr. P. K. Sharma, Prof. Ashu behal, Prof. Rajesh Parashar, Prof. Jasmine, Prof. Ranjita , Prof. Anju Chhabra, Prof. Sahil Nagpal along with other teachers were also present in this ceremony.
