Despite availability of funds inn work not started in last 4 years: Shanta Kumar

Dharamshala, March 29, 2017: BJP MP from Kangra Mr.Shata Kumar has raised his voice against congress lead government of Himachal for not starting the construction work of a Inn at Dr RP Government Medical college Tanda near Dharsamshala till date.

The ex-CM of HP Mr Shanta Kumar said in a press release that an Inn worth Rs 4 crore was to be raised in Tanda to meet the demand of the attendants of the patients of this Medical College Hospital, but the work is still not started ,whereas the project was announced by the state government in 2012.

Shata kumar said, “I along with Congress RS MP Mrs Viplov Thakur donated Rs 25 lakh each, and Bharat Heavy Electric Limited (BHEL) Rs 2 Crore in 2015, but the project didn’t start.”

He said that the inn has to be completed in two years by 2014.

It may be mentioned here that the Tanda Medical College is one of the most premier health institutions of lower Himachal Pradesh in the government sector. The college is located at a distance of about five kilometres from the Kangra town. The place where the medical college is located does not have much habitation around it. As a result, cheap guest houses or inns are not available to the attendants accompanying the patients coming at the hospital.
