Dharamsala gearing up to host two IPL matches on May 17 and 19

Dharamsala, a picturesque hill station in India, is gearing up to host two exciting IPL matches on May 17 and 19. The teams are expected to arrive in this beautiful town from May 14 onwards, and the matches will be held at the HPCA Stadium, which has a seating capacity of around  25,000.

Dharamsala, May 12, 2023: Dharamsala, a picturesque hill station in India, is gearing up to host two exciting IPL matches on May 17 and 19. The teams are expected to arrive in this beautiful town from May 14 onwards, and the matches will be held at the HPCA Stadium, which has a seating capacity of around 25,000.

This is the first time in nine years that Dharamsala will be hosting an IPL match, and the stadium has undergone significant renovations to ensure that the pitch and outfield are in top condition. The fresh surface promises to provide an excellent playing field for the teams.

The Punjab Kings (PBKS) will take on the Delhi Capitals on May 17 at 7:30 PM, followed by a match between the Rajasthan Royals and PBKS on May 19 at the same time. These matches are expected to attract a host of tourists and cricket enthusiasts to the town.

According to a press release by the HPCA, the PBKS squad will arrive in Dharamsala on May 14 via air from Delhi and will have their practice session the next day. The Delhi Capitals squad will arrive in Dharamsala from Delhi via a special flight, reaching here at 2 pm on 15 th May. The DC team will have their practice session on May 16, while PBKS will also practice again on the same day.

The Rajasthan Royals squad will reach Dharamsala on May 16 via a flight from Jaipur and will have their practice session on May 18. The RR and PBKS will meet in an IPL encounter on May 19.

The HPCA officials have assured that the stadium is ready to host these IPL matches, and the town is eagerly waiting to welcome the teams and the fans. With the stunning backdrop of the Himalayas and the excitement of IPL cricket, these matches promise to be a memorable experience for everyone involved.
