Dharamshala Skyway extended operational timings by 2 hours daily
The Dharamshala Skyway has decided to increase its operational timings by 2 hours daily for fifteen days on trial base.
Dharamshala, June 4, 2022: Keeping in view of the regular increase of tourists and the suggestions from various stakeholders, the Dharamshala Skyway has decided to increase its operational timings by 2 hours daily for fifteen days on trial base. It shall operate now till 8 pm instead of 6 pm, whereas its starting time shall be 10 am daily as usual.
Giving this information here today, Neha Pandit, Director, Dharamshala Ropeway Limited said, “We have extended the ropeway hours on a trial basis so that more and more people can experience this novel mode of transport this season. Further decisions on extended hours will be taken based on the response of our guests and other stakeholders. More than 1 lac guests have used the ropeway services so far and we are truly humbled by the support of all.”
Dharamshala Skyway was inaugurated on 19th January 2022 by Jairam Thakur, Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh.
Visitors can reach McLeodganj from Dharamshala in just five minutes, instead of undertaking a 45-minute road journey and skip road jams. Dharamshala Skyway, an aerial ropeway project developed by the Tata Group to connect the two tourist hotspots reducing the road distance of 9-Kms to just 1.8-km.
