Dhvanyaloka workshop concluded in Philosophy Department of PU 

Chandigarh: Dhvanyaloka workshop organized by Philosophy Department of Panjab University concluded on Saturday. Popular Sanskrit exponents from different universities of country imparted their lectures in the workshop. 
Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University, Prof. Rajnish Shukla in the inaugural session of the workshop told that Dhvanyaloka is first text written on the expression of prettiness. Director of Jammu Kashmir Study Centre, Shri Ashutosh Bhatnagar in his session elaborated the tradition of knowledge as well the historical background of Kashmir, where the text Dhvanyaloka was written. 

The famous Sanskrit exponent and Indologist Prof. Ramakant Angiras addressed students on both first and last day of the workshop. He explained about the mindset desired to study Dhvanyaloka. On the last day, Prof Angiras stressed upon the connection of Society with Dhvani Principle. Various Sanskrit exponents in this seven-day long workshop explained the first chapter of the text. Padmashri Prof. Abhiraj Rajendra Mishra explained the historical as well as present scenario of the dialogue in Sanskrit Literature Tradition. 

Prof. Mishra recited his Sanskrit poems and ghazals written by himself in Sanskrit also. In the concluding session, famous actor Lalit Parimoo had a talk with students on the topic Abhinaya Yoga. Students in the workshop told their experiences related to workshop on the last day According to co1nvener of the workshop, Chairperson of Philosophy Department of Panjab University Shivani Sharma, Department gave note of thanks and said she will organize three more workshops in future to complete the remaining chapters of the text Dhvanyaloka.
