Ludhiana, March 9, 2015: A Mega free Medical & Heart Check up camp was organised on Sunday by Dayanand Medical College & Hospital in association with Raj Rattan Public School Sansthan at Ferozepur. Dr.G.S Wander Chief Cardiologist HDHI led the team of doctors & technicians which also included attending physician Dr.Rohit Tandon and Dr. Abhishek Goyal.
Camp was inaugurated by Mohinish Chawal, DIG Bathinda Range. In his message he expressed his pleasure to visit the camp where team of doctors are doing excellent work for welfare of the society. The Camp was especially organised to give benefit to poor and needy patients. Also present on the occasion were Management Members of Raj Rattan Public School S.C Sanwalka (President), B.B Sanwalka (Secretary), S.P Anand ( Director), Parveen Aul (Principal).
According to Dr.G.S Wander the objective of this camp was to raise awareness about Hypertension and Heart disease. Highlight that diabetes and high blood pressure are key risk factors for Heart Attack, to encourage people for quiet smoking, limited alcohol and proper exercise and eat healthy food.
The camps facilitate detection of various heart ailments like high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease and congenital heart disease amongst general population, as well as follow-up of patients treated earlier in the camp.
Apart from doctor's consultation, ECG, Blood sugar & B.P monitoring were done free of cost. Medicines were also distributed to poor & needy patients free of cost.
