Different Art Centre hosts training session for visually-impaired football players

The Thiruvananthapuram-based Different Art Centre, in association with the Indian Blind Football Federation (IBFF), hosted a training session for the visually-impaired football players from Kerala. The training session was attended by 12 men and 5 women players.

Thiruvananthapuram, May 11, 2024: The Thiruvananthapuram-based Different Art Centre, in association with the Indian Blind Football Federation (IBFF), hosted a training session for the visually-impaired football players from Kerala. The training session was attended by 12 men and 5 women players.

The session took place at the Different Art Centre from 7th May 2024 to 9th May 2024. A blind football demo game was also organised as part of the programme so as to raise people’s awareness about blind football and to help the sport and the players gain the recognition they deserve.

The Indian Blind Football Federation (IBFF), an organisation established in 2016 to promote blind football among visually impaired athletes in India, has been operating with the support of Society for Rehabilitation of Visually Challenged (SVRC) and is recognised by the Indian Blind Sports Association (IBSA), the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) and the All-India Football Federation (AIFF).
