Panchkula, December 9, 2018: The students of junior wing- pre nursery to grade V of Dikshant International School, Zirakpur, staged their 17th Annual Day Function at Inderdhanush Auditorium, Sec 5 here. Mr.Anant Kumar Mishra, Former health minister Uttar Pradesh, was the chief guest.

The programme embarked with a Shiv Stuti, followed by auspicious lighting of the lamp and a floral tribute to the founder of the school Late Shri O.N.Dikshit.

The annual day was celebrated around a very pertinent theme -‘We Care’, in which students through an assortment of dance forms and skits conveyed that they will care for this world and all creations of God in all possible ways .

"The inspiring act of children beautifully extolled the crucial significance of self-belief, love, care and happiness. It is not only through the cultural programmes that students of Dikshant International School are being sensitised about the social concerns, the school has been taking lot of initiatives in the direction to help children grow into responsible citizens." Said Mitul Dikshit, Chairman Dikshant International School.

The unique cultural items presented by students of different classes were bound together by a common thread of a story that revolved around three angels who visited planet Earth and noticed it to be upset because of human behaviour. The angels then decide to enlighten humans using their divine powers and spread the message of hope, care, love and happiness.

Children staged dances & skits in different themes of care- like 'caring for elderly', 'for self', 'for others', 'for strangers', 'for the natural world' and 'its nonhuman creatures' etc.

Carrying on with the theme, the students of primary section spread the message of friendship and joy among the different sections of society - particularly underprivileged children, with whom they performed the grand finale. The energetic performance by the students filled everyone with the enthusiasm to do their bit to heal the world in which we live.

A prize distribution ceremony was also held. Students were awarded for their extraordinary performance in academics, co-curricular activities and achievements in the reading program during the academic year.

The show received a thunderous applause by everyone present in the audience and ended in a beautiful resonance lingering in the minds of everyone.
