DIPS children celebrated Nelson Mandela Day
World Nelson Mandela Day was celebrated at the Dips School Tanda in memory of the great man Nelson Mandela, who dedicated his entire life against apartheid in the world.
Jalandhar, July 18, 2022: World Nelson Mandela Day was celebrated at the Dips School Tanda in memory of the great man Nelson Mandela, who dedicated his entire life against apartheid in the world. On this occasion, remembering his great life, children made PPT and posters and informed everyone about it. Children told that in their life they were honored by more than 250 countries and institutions.
He is known as Gandhi of South Africa because he was inspired by Gandhiji and believed in following the path of non-violence and love. He faced many difficulties in his life and went to jail many times. The children told that they hate casteism because it is the biggest obstacle in the development of any country. For his work and struggle, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, Bharat Ratna, Gandhi Peace Prize, and President’s Medal of Freedom.
Teachers informed that this day is celebrated in remembrance of the struggle for democracy at the international level and their contribution in promoting peace around the world. According to him education is the biggest weapon, when a person is educated then he can achieve anything in the world.
Principal Divya chawla said that people in Africa call her Madiba which is a matter of pride for an elderly person. Madiba also means father. He believed that every calamity in the world can be faced with peace. A good mind and heart are always a good pair, when any work is done together with these two, then we definitely get victory in it.
