Jalandhar, March 22, 2023: World Water Day is celebrated to make people aware of the importance of water all over the world. For this purpose, Water Day was celebrated in Dips giving the message of saving water to the children. During this, the teachers told the children the importance of water and how we can save water by making small changes in our daily life at home. Today water is available 24 hours in many parts of India but there are still many parts where women walk many miles to fetch water for their daily use. This year the theme of Water Day is Accelerating Change. While working in the kitchen, washing clothes or cleaning at home, the water tap should not always be left open.
Children told through poster slogan that it is impossible to imagine life without water. Water is very important for our life, agriculture, energy production, food security etc. That's why it is very important to save water because water is a limited resource. That's why we should take this initiative from our home and also make the people around us aware about it.
Principal Gurpreet Kaur while addressing the students said that for the first time in the world the initiative to celebrate Water Day was taken in 1992. Due to the increasing population in the world, there is a shortage of water on the earth. The main reason for this is that there is less awareness among people about it and they use it without thinking, due to which there is a lot of wastage of water. If we want that our future generation should not face any kind of problem, then we should take steps to save water today itself.
