Department of Education has organized a discussion on topic “Gender- Sensitive Practices in The Campus: Some Reflection” on Friday. The discussion was initiated by the Dean of student welfare (women) Prof. Simrit Kahlon. She was introduced briefly by Prof. Satvinderpal Kaur (chairperson) and further detailed introduction was given by Ankita Nanada (Research Scholar).

Chandigarh, September 29, 2023: Department of Education has organized a discussion on topic “Gender- Sensitive Practices in The Campus: Some Reflection” on Friday. The discussion was initiated by the Dean of student welfare (women) Prof. Simrit Kahlon. She was introduced briefly by Prof. Satvinderpal Kaur (chairperson) and further detailed introduction was given by Ankita Nanada (Research Scholar).
She shared with the students about the various gender sensitive practices followed by Panjab University in its day to day functioning. She emphasised the creation of gender inclusive spaces in the university. Using her own experiences as student as well as teacher she apprised the students about the appropriate behavioural changes to make the university conducive and space space for learning. She concluded her speech with the quote “It does not matter that we are loyal to our superiors but loyal to our subordinates”.
