Panjab University (PU) Department of Chemistry, Chandigarh hosted a distinguished lecture by Prof. Arunava Gupta from the University of California, San Diego, on "Semiconducting Chalcogenide Nanomaterials for Energy Applications."

Chandigarh, October 25, 2024: Panjab University (PU) Department of Chemistry, Chandigarh hosted a distinguished lecture by Prof. Arunava Gupta from the University of California, San Diego, on "Semiconducting Chalcogenide Nanomaterials for Energy Applications." 

The event drew faculty and students from the Chemistry and Chemical Engineering departments. 

Prof. Gupta, a leading authority in nanomaterials, provided insightful definitions and explanations of nanocrystals, shedding light on their potential infabricating solar cells and various other energy applications. He also guided students on research opportunities in the United States, sharing valuable expertise and inspiring the next generation of scientists.

Prof. S.K. Mehta, former Professor of Chemistry at Panjab University and current Vice Chancellor of Ladakh University, joined the conference and delivered a valuable lecture that complemented Prof. Gupta's address. 

The successful organisation of the event was credited to the Department of Chemistry, Panjab University Chandigarh.
