DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION GEARS UP FOR MARATHON ON MARCH 31 AS DC RELEASES T-SHIRT FOR EVENT

MARATHON TO BE ORGANIZED FOR MOTIVATING PEOPLE TO VOTE ENTHUSIASTICALLY IN ENSUING POLLS Ferozepur, March 28, 2019: Gearing up for organizing marathon on March 31 to motivate the people to turn up for voting enthusiastically during the upcoming polls and to sensitise them against drug menace the Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur Mr.Chander Gaind today released the T-shirts for the participants of upcoming event. Taking stock of preparations for the event and later Interacting with the media persons here at the District Administrative Complex, the Deputy Commissioner said that during the marathon thousands of volunteers from across the district would participate to disseminate message of ethical voting. He said that the marathon would commence from Shaheed Bhagat Singh Stadium and culminate back there after passing through Railway Over Bridge, M.L. Bhaskar Chowk and Golf course. Mr.Gaind said that the marathon would start at 6 am in the morning and elaborate arrangements have been made by the district administration for this mega event. Soliciting fulsome support and cooperation of the people especially the youth of district to come forward for making this mega event a huge success, the Deputy Commissioner said that it would help in strengthening democracy at grass root level. He said that India could progress only if all of us come forward and participate in democratic process wholeheartedly. On the occasion SDM Mr.Amit Gupta, CEO DCM Group Mr.Anirudh Gupta, District Sports Officer Mr.Sunil Sharma, Secretary Red Cross Society Mr.Ashok Behal were present.
