District administration identifies 3 Places for peaceful protests

SBS Nagar, November 28, 2018: District administration has identified 3 places in the district for the purpose of peaceful protests.

Deputy Commissioner SBS Nagar Mr.Vinay Bublani said that in all three Sub-Divisions various places were notified for peaceful protests which includes Dushera Ground SBS Nagar , Grain market Banga and Grain market Balachaur. He said that the places to be used for protests by different organizations/political parties so as to avoid any hindrance to public in their routine life.

He also made it clear that the protesters have to seek the prior approval from the local administration. He also made it clear that there would be a complete prohibition for any Protest/Dharna at Chandigarh Chowk, Bus stand and Nehru Gate to avoid any kind of obstacle on the Amritsar-Jalandhar-Chandigarh road. Besides that at Tehsil complex, SDM offices and District administrative complex, the protestors would not be allowed for any kind of protest.

Besides that the Deputy Commissioner has also issued restrictions on the use of loud speakers/DJ in marriage palaces, hotels and restaurants from 10 PM to 6 AM across the district. He said that in case of violation of these orders, the owner of the concerned building/place would face the action besides confiscating the instruments and registration of FIR against the violators. These orders would remain in force till January 26, 2019.

Deputy Commissioner has also ordered that the complete ban has been imposed on the construction of gates on the connecting roads to the villages by the people in memory of their beloved ones, which leads to many unfortunate accidents. Orders in this regard would remain in force till January 29, 2019.
