District Basketball Championship concludes
Tournament witnessed impressive participation of 624 players

Ludhiana, August 4, 2022: Ludhiana District Basketball Championship for Sub Jr. Boys and Girls and for the Youth Category which began from Ist August at Guru Nanak Stadium Basketball Courts concluded. The final ceremony prizes were given by Ashish Arun Gill, a national basketball player in the presence of Teja Singh Dhaliwal, Sr VP BFI and J P Singh President DBA ,Prof Rajinder Singh and Vijay Chopra VP DBA .
Teja Singh Dhaliwal appreciated the role of coaches and managers Rajinder Singh, Narinderpal, Saloni, Richu Sharma and others from schools and clubs.
Brij Goyal, a treasurer of DBA opined that in order that sporting fervour is encouraged, District Education Officer should also inform and motivate schools to inspire children to come to witness the matches.
RESULTS:
U-14 Girls:
Guru Nanak Club wins championship defeating Doraha Public School -Runners Up (score 28-10) JSHS School beat BCM Arya 15-04 to earn 3rd and 4th position.
U-14 Boys: DAV Hawks are District Champions by beating IPS school 43-17.3rd position earned by Doraha Public School who beat BCM Arya School 15-04 to 4th position.
U-17 Girls:
Guru Nanak Club girls emerge champions by beating Doraha Public School 59-21.
JSHS (South City) School girls earned 3rd place by beating Police DAV Girls to 4th place scores 17-04
U-17 Boys
DGSG School Boys became district champions in the category by beating by beating DAV BRS Nagar school with scores 59-45
