DISTRICT LEGAL SERVICES AUTHORITY ORGANISES ONE DAY MEDICAL CHECKUP CAMP AT OBSERVATION HOME

SPECIALIST DOCTORS CHECK JUVENILE INMATES FOR DISEASES RELATED TO SKIN, EYES, GENERAL, TEETH ETC

Ludhiana, August 3, 2018: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) organised a one day medical checkup camp for the juvenile inmates at Observation Home, here today. Mr Gurbir Singh, District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, DLSA, Dr Gurpreet Kaur, CJM-cum-Secretary, DLSA and Mr Jatinder Pal Singh, Chairman, District Child Welfare Committee, Ludhiana were also present on the occasion.

Today’s camp was organised with the help of Civil Surgeon, Ludhiana. During the medical checkup camp, a team of specialist doctors checked the juvenile inmates for diseases related to skin, eyes, general, teeth etc. The team of doctors comprised of Dr Manju Lal, Dr Manpreet Singh and Dr Suresh.

While speaking on the occasion, Mr Gurbir Singh said it has been observed that during the rainy season that juvenile inmates at Observation Home, Ludhiana, sometimes face health related issues and that is why, today’s medical checkup camp was organised. He said that the government is responsible for the health of juvenile inmates at Observation Home and that is why DLSA Ludhiana organised this one day medical checkup camp today.

Dr Gurpreet Kaur thanked the doctors as well as officials at Observation Home and stated that one such camp would also be organised by DLSA Ludhiana at the Women Jail, Ludhiana on August 21, 2018.
