Chandigarh, September 13, 2017: Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party is all set to hold demonstrations all across the state against the incumbent Capt Amarinder Singh government on September 16, the day he will complete six months in office. The party will highlight the failures of Captain’s government during his six months in office. Stating this here today, Punjab BJP secretary Vineet Joshi said that the past 6 months of Capt Amarinder Singh’s regime have been those of betrayal, atrocities and scams.
Joshi further said, “On the call given by Punjab BJP president Vijay Sampla, the party workers will hold demonstrations, dharnas and protests all across the state on September 16. The protests are being carried out against the ineptness of Capt. Amarinder Singh government which has failed on all fronts.
Farmers, youths, dalits, businessmen, students, ex-servicemen, urban people- all are feeling betrayed by the present government. Farmers are the worst hit, whose rate of suicides is shooting up exponentially every month. Then, there are the Dalits who are suffering at the hands of Congress’ goons and the police has turned a blind eye. Youths are still waiting for their smart-phones. Women are waiting for atta-dal along with ghee and tea. Veterans are awaiting pension. Developmental works in urban and rural areas have come to a halt owing to cancellation of funds sanctioned. Businessmen are still anticipating electricity at Rs.5 a unit. Neither school books have reached the government schools, nor the school uniforms. Law and order situation has gone out of control. The claims of eradicating drugs have fallen flat after Congress’ own MLA exposed the nexus. Incidents of political vendetta are on the rise with Opposition leaders being beaten up and false cases being registered against them. Sand mafia and transport mafia are having a free run and Gang wars are becoming a norm of the day. Names of Congress leaders have cropped up in these incidents, but no action has been taken so far”.
“Carrying out it’s responsibility, the BJP has decided to expose the Congress government and hence has planned demonstrations all across Punjab on September 16, when Capt. Amarinder Singh completes his 6 months in office”, he added.
