Devotees lit candles in the premises of Gurdwara Dukhniwaran Sahib at Ludhiana on Tuesday evening on the occasion of the Diwali festival.

Ludhiana, November 14, 2012: The festival of Diwali was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Ludhiana and other parts of Punjab.
Huge rush of people was witnessed in the markets in the daytime. People were seen buying fruits, sweets and other items.
The houses, commercial and business establishments were seen beautifylly decorated with lights.
In the evening, people did `Lakshmi Pujan’.
A large number of crackers were burnt till mid night. As such, people did not follow advices of celebrating eco–friendly Diwali. In Ludhiana alone, crackers worth crores of rupees were burnt.
