“I have some wonderful memories celebrating Diwali with my loved ones. Diwali falls on a ‘No Moon Day’ however there is brightness all around. This feeling of ‘Light in the Darkness’ is really mesmerizing. It has been an annual ritual for us since childhood to have the family come together to clean and decorate the house together during Diwali. Apart from this, I make sweets, light Diyas and candles and then there’s Puja in the evening. As a child, I used to burst crackers, but I don’t anymore; I just light ‘fuljhadi’.
