In a significant milestone for academic and professional development, students from the Faculty of Film and Television (FFTV) at Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLCSUPVA), Rohtak, have embarked on a 12-day intensive workshop on Multi-Camera Shoot Techniques at the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune.

Rohtak, April 28, 2025: In a significant milestone for academic and professional development, students from the Faculty of Film and Television (FFTV) at Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLCSUPVA), Rohtak, have embarked on a 12-day intensive workshop on Multi-Camera Shoot Techniques at the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune.

A group of 33 students from the 7th semester, accompanied by two faculty members Ajay Singh and Dipti Khurana, departed for Pune to participate in this highly specialized training programme. The workshop is being conducted in the Television Wing of FTII, a state-of-the-art facility renowned for shaping generations of filmmakers and television professionals.

During the workshop, students will gain hands-on experience and receive mentorship from some of the best faculty members and industry experts. The rigorous training is designed to refine their technical understanding, creative approaches, and practical skills essential for multi-camera television production - an area of critical importance in contemporary film and entertainment industries.

Highlighting the significance of the initiative, Debasis Roy, Academic Coordinator of FFTV and an alumnus of FTII Pune, stated, “This workshop offers our students an unparalleled opportunity to learn in a world-class environment directly from the best practitioners and educators. Such exposure will not only strengthen their professional foundation but also foster a deeper understanding of television production aesthetics. Importantly, this venture marks the beginning of a long-term relationship with FTII, paving the way for formal collaborations like a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the near future.”
