Gurgaon, January 20, 2016: To support and strengthen the public infrastructure of Gurgaon, DLF Foundation contributed 20 Lac to the upcoming 4 bedded Dialysis unit of Civil Hospital, Gurgaon. The cheque was handed over to Shri T.L Satyaprakash, Deputy Commissioner, Gurgaon by Mr. Vinay Sahni, Advisor CSR, DLF Foundation and Mr Ritesh Sinha, Director Programs, DLF Ltd at his office.

District administration of Gurgaon has planned to set up a four bedded dialysis unit in Civil Hospital. There is a huge pressure of demand on various private hospitals that provide dialysis. Many people with limited resources cannot afford the cost of it. To bridge the gap between demand and services, District administration of Gurgaon came with the plan of setting up of the unit owing to the lack of infrastructure providing quality dialysis facilities in the public health sector of Gurgaon.

“The city needs health facilities very badly, for the simple reason being that the population of Gurgaon is growing at 80% decadal growth rate. I am very happy that DLF Foundation has come forward to provide world class dialysis centre, which will provide facilities to more than 10,000 people every year. It is heartening to see DLF’s contribution in this CSR venture.” said Shri. T.L Satyaprakash, Deputy Commissioner, Gurgaon.

The project is proposed to be a joint venture with OBC, District Innovative Fund, Sheetla Mata Shrine Board. Artemis will be the technical partner and will be imparting manpower training.

"As an organization at the forefront of helping residents of Gurgaon have better access to facilities as far as hale and healthy living is concerned, the DLF Foundation contributing Rupees 20 lakhs for a Dialysis Center at Civil Hospital, Gurgaon. In a city that is thriving, there is a need to ensure that all sections of the society, including the underprivileged gets access to world-class health facilities and treatment. The Dialysis Center is just another leap in this regard. DLF Foundation is hopeful that this initiative with the help of Gurgaon’s administration will be fruitful for the people of Gurgaon" said Mr. Vinay Sahni, Advisor CSR, DLF Foundation.
