DMCH Doctor elected as President of IAMM, North-West Chapter
Ludhiana, October 17, 2018: In a recently held ‘MICROCON 2018’ conference, Dr Deepinder Chhina (Professor & Head of Microbiology, DMCH) was declared as elected President of Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists (IAMM) North West Chapter. Secretary Shri Prem Kumar Gupta congratulated Dr Chhina on holding such coveted post and hope that Dr Deepinder Chhina will be fulfilling the duties of IAMM President (North West Chapter) in most responsible and active manner According to Dr Deepinder Chhina, the objectives of Association is to promote scientific knowledge of Medical Microbiology and its related subjects, to plan and execute projects for the advancement of this knowledge, to improve education in the field of Microbiology and promoting programmes and CMEs regarding latest advancements in the field of microbiology. Dr Chhina remarked that recently held ‘MICROCON’ conference proved to of immense help to the participating delegates as scientific deliberations by the distinguished guest speakers in solving the problem of Antibiotic Resistance, over use and adequate use. ‘Antibiotic app’ was already in use in DMCH which has made the use of antimicrobial therapy more rationale, said Dr Chhina.
