DMC&H hosts 4 day yoga camp to celebrate ‘International Yoga Day'
To celebrate International Yoga Day 2024, DMC&H hosted a 4-day yoga camp from 19th to 22st June at DMC College Campus. The event aimed to promote physical and mental well-being through practicing yoga.
Ludhiaan, June 21, 2024: To celebrate International Yoga Day 2024, DMC&H hosted a 4-day yoga camp from 19th to 22st June at DMC College Campus. The event aimed to promote physical and mental well-being through practicing yoga.
During the camp, Principal of DMC&H, Dr. G. S. Wander; former Principal of DMC&H, Dr. Daljit Singh; Dean of Academics, Dr. Sandeep Kaushal; Dr. B. P. Mishra, Professor and Head of the Department of Clinical Psychology; along with faculty, students from the Department of Clinical Psychology and students from DMC&H College of Nursing, staff members of DMC&H and Hero DMC and patients participated yoga.
In his message, Sh Bipin Gupta, Secretary DMC&H Managing Society highlighted that "Yoga is not just a form of exercise; it's a way of life that promotes harmony and balance. This camp was a wonderful opportunity for participants to experience the benefits of yoga firsthand and to celebrate International Yoga Day in a meaningful way."
Principal Dr G S wander, encouraged everyone to incorporate yoga as a way of life, integrating its principles into our daily routines for enhanced health and well-being.
The camp was conducted by Dr Sanjeev Singh Rawat, Sr Yoga Consultant of Department of Yoga, DMC&H and Ms Gargi Singh demonstrated various ‘yoga asanas’ that can be practiced by individuals to keep them healthy and mentally peaceful. All the participants were engaged in various mindfulness practices, meditation sessions and various yoga asanas which were focused on holistic health and wellness.
Devansh, aged 11, and Rajveer, aged 13, were among the younger participants who attended the yoga camp. MBBS students and intern also participated in the camp.
