DMC&H launches Mentor-Mentee program
To enhance students development, a Mentor-Mentee Program was launched today at DMC College Campus for the medical students. This program is designed to foster meaningful connection, promoting holistic development provide support to undergraduate students through dedicated faculty mentorship.
Ludhiana, August 16, 2024: To enhance students development, a Mentor-Mentee Program was launched today at DMC College Campus for the medical students. This program is designed to foster meaningful connection, promoting holistic development provide support to undergraduate students through dedicated faculty mentorship.
The Programme was launched by Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society Bipin Gupta along with Treasurer DMC&H Managing Society, Mukesh Kumar; Principal Dr G S Wander; Dean Academics Dr Sandeep Kaushal; Medical Supts. Dr Ashwani K Chaudhary, Dr Sandeep Sharma,Dr Bishav Mohan and committee members of Mentor Mentee Programme include Dr Ashvind Bawa, Prof, Surgery; Dr Swati Singh Astt. Prof., Physiology; Dr Nitika Hans, Astt. Prof. Pharmacology; Dr Varun Modgil, Asstt Prof. Forensic Medicine.
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society, Sh. Bipin Gupta said that this programme will pave the way forward for better relationship, to enhance clinical skills and build a strong support network for students throughout their academic journey.
Principal, Dr G S Wander, congratulated the Mentor Mentee Programme Committee and highlighted that effective communication is essential for mental relaxation and peace. This initiative will not only enhance academic interactions but also contribute to the personal growth of students and help effectively bridging any existing gaps, stated Dr Wander.
Dean Academics, Dr Sandeep Kaushal, said that we believe that this program will significantly enhance our students' learning experience and professional development. By connecting them with experienced mentors, we aim to provide valuable insights and support that will benefit them throughout their careers to be good humans in addition to be excellent doctors.
Giving information about the programme, Dr Ashvind Bawa, Convener of the committee, This program offers a unique opportunity for students to learn, grow, and achieve their goals with the support of experienced mentors. Our aim is to assist medical students not only academically but also personally, ensuring they are provided and be prepared for all aspects of their future careers.
In this Mentor-Mentee Program, a team of 5 students from each batch will be associated with experienced faculty members who will offer personalized guidance, support and provide insightful practical experience for their emotional and academic support which will be helpful for students to navigate the challenges of medical education.
