DMCH Microbiology Dept gets new equipment
Full-Automatic Chemiluminescence Immunoassay System (FACIS) and Roche Cobas Pure e402 were inaugurated at the Dept of Microbiology at DMCH by Prem Kumar Gupta, Secretary DMCH Managing Society.
Ludhiana, December 19, 2022: Full-Automatic Chemiluminescence Immunoassay System (FACIS) and Roche Cobas Pure e402 were inaugurated at the Dept of Microbiology at DMCH by Prem Kumar Gupta, Secretary DMCH Managing Society. Full-Automatic Chemiluminescence Immunoassay System (FACIS) is a single-cartridge based test for 1,3-β-D glucan, galactomannan and cryptococcal antigen for diagnosis of fungal infections. It provides rapid and reliable results with minimum manual operation. The new technology will help in testing even a single sample and patient’s reports can be given in a single day.

Speaking on the occasion, Prem Kumar Gupta said that DMCH strives to provide excellent care to the patients along with ultra-modern diagnostic services.
In his message, Principal Dr Sandeep Puri congratulated the department of Microbiology and stated that these new equipment will aid the clinicians in providing the best medical care to the public.
Dr. Veenu Gupta, Professor and Head, Department of Microbiology, said that Cobas Pure e402 is a closed system which provides rapid and reliable detection of viral markers for Hepatitis A, B, C, HIV and procalcitonin. It has a reduced reaction time, so more tests can be performed per day.
